Craft with Middle School Girl Scouts

Fun & Friendship for Middle School Girls
Wellesley Girl Scouts for 6th–8th graders combines fun, friendship, and adventure with community service. Scouts may also choose to pursue their Silver Award, a girl-led “take action” project which improves their community.
Our troop meets monthly on Sundays late afternoon with one additional weekend activity scheduled each month. Participation is flexible based on your scout’s interests and schedule; our members attend various schools.This year’s activities have included:
- Community Service: archery and ice skating for younger girls, holiday party for Wellesley senior residents, and collecting food for Wellesley food Pantry. Scouts earned their animal helper badge by learning about the animals Unity Farm Sanctuary and crafting toys for Buddy Dog and Stray Pets in Need.
- Outings: apple picking, night climbing for Halloween, skiing at Wachusett, and back yard winter camping. The troop attended International Women’s Day at Mass Bay. We enjoyed the penguins at New England Aquarium and cannolis at Bova’s Bakery. The troop also bonded at beach volleyball, an arcade escape room, and cheered the Boston Legacy women’s soccer team to victory at Gillette Stadium. We will finish the year with a trip to Canobie Lake Park funded by our cookie sales.
