Explorer of 50 sacred spaces hidden away across Boston to share her findings
Wendy Cadge, a professor in the Sociology Department at Brandeis University, will speak Sept. 18 about Boston’s hidden sanctuaries for the Wellesley-Weston Lifetime Learning (WWLLL) organization, which welcomes seniors from any community. The 10 a.m. presentation to the “Greater Boston Cultural Institutions” class will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 309 Washington Street in Wellesley. The hidden sanctuaries Cadge will discuss range from chapels at state correctional institutions to Our Lady o the Airways at Logan Airport. With two colleagues, Cadge is studying these spaces. Prospective new WWLL students are welcome as guests for two weeks. For questions about WWLL courses, see the wwllcourses.org website, send emails to [email protected], or call 781-205-4204. Selected videos can be viewed on YouTube by searching for Wellesley-Weston Lifetime Learning.
