Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Fay School, speaker event—”Progress Over Perfect”

EVENT: “Progress Over Perfect: Combat Perfectionistic Culture & Create Young Positive Risk-Takers” with Dr. Robyn Silverman
Join Fay School on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 PM for a presentation by Dr. Robyn Silverman, a child and teen development specialist, parenting expert, and the best-selling author of How to Talk to Kids about Anything.
Studies show that our kids are feeling more pressure to succeed and become more “flawlessly perfect,” “effortlessly accomplished,” and “notably high-achieving” than ever. This creates what Dr. Robyn calls “Failure Fallback,” where kids worry so much about failing that they either stop trying or “become so obsessed with grades and accolades that their mental health, body, or both fail instead.”
