Grammy-nominated A Far Cry, Wellesley College
September 22, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Grammy-nominated self-conducting chamber orchestra A Far Cry will bring its original style of classical music to Wellesley College’s Jewett Center in concert on September 22 at 7:30pm.
A Far Cry was founded in 2007 by a tightly knit collective of young professional musicians who expand the boundaries of orchestral repertoire and experimenting with the ways music is prepared, performed, and experienced; the Boston-based group has been embraced throughout the world, with hundreds of performances coast to coast and across the globe, and hundreds of thousands of online views of live-streamed concerts and YouTube archives. Dreams and Prayers and Law of Mosaics, the first albums from A Far Cry’s in-house label, Crier Records, have collectively garnered a Grammy nomination and critical acclaim from the New Yorker’s Alex Ross.
The performance kicks off A Far Cry’s Music Department fall residency.
WHEN: Saturday, September 22, 7:30pm
WHERE: Wellesley College, Jewett Auditorium
The event is free and open to the public
