Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Intro to Procreate (for teens) at Wellesley Free Library
Have you ever wanted to make art on your computer or tablet? Learn about making digital art and working with Procreate from animator David Brink from the New Art Center.
Procreate is a graphics editor app for digital painting with customizable brush options. Professional artists have used Procreate to create the posters for things like Stranger Things, Logan, and Blade Runner 2049. In this program you will learn a general overview of Procreate such as where the tools are, and which gestures are embedded into the app. Then you’ll have the chance to create a drawing from scratch using a reference.
We’ll cover the process from sketch, to lineart, to flat color, shading and lighting, and then add some effects to complete the drawing.
Space is limited, and walk-ins will not be accepted, please register in advance.
This program is limited to teens.
