Submit your event/s. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

John Rosenthal, a real estate developer who once posted a massive antigun-violence billboard along the Mass Turnpike near Fenway Park, will present a “Guns and Society” talk to the American Issues class for Wellesley-Weston Lifetime Learning at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 309 Washington Street in Wellesley. Seniors from all communities are invited to his talk as a free introduction to the variety of courses offered by Wellesley-Weston Lifetime Learning during a 10-week spring semester, which began March 5 and ends May 21. Courses run 10-11 a.m. and 11:30-12:30 p.m., with coffee and cookies in between. Those who choose to enroll in courses can do so in person or by visiting www.wwllcourses.org. In 1995, as a gun owner, recreational Trap Shooter, and businessperson, John Rosenthal founded Stop Handgun Violence. The organization has been the lead advocate for Massachusetts’ effective gun violence prevention laws. Massachusetts now has the most effective gun laws and the lowest firearm fatality rate of any state in the nation.
