Metamorphoses – Wellesley High School final show
May 31, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
An event every day that begins at 7:30 pm, repeating indefinitely
This weekend, the Wellesley High School Drama Society will perform its final show of the year, “Metamorphoses.” Mary Zimmerman’s Tony Award-winning play is an adaptation of five of Ovid’s myths (and one from Apuleius) that combines classical acting with a tale that swings from dramatic to humorous. Juxtaposing the ancient with the contemporary, “Metamorphoses” revolves around the theme of change in a character’s life and how that change transforms the world around them.
WHS Technical Director and Production Manager Brian McManimon serves as the show’s director and technical supervisor. Anna Muenning ’18 is the student director, Pierce Gillim ’18 is in charge of movement staging and sets, and Rey Hill ‘19 and Jo Steensma ’20 are co-stage managers.
Because the WHS Little Theater is a black-box venue, seating is limited and we recommend arriving up to an hour before curtain to purchase tickets. As the Wellesley High School Drama Society’s 2017-2018 season concludes, make sure to carve out some time to see this show.
