This presentation begins with a brief look at how flags became identifying symbols in the course of human history.
We will then focus on the U.S. flag as we delve into the following questions:
How and why did American flags come into existence?
Who created the U.S. flag (i.e., “the Stars & Stripes”)?
How and why did Old Glory change over the centuries?
What are the present controversies about the U.S. flag?
