Submit your event/s. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Online lecture: Juan del Encino, the father of Spanish theater
October 28, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
On October 28 at 7:30 pm, Wellesley Neighbors (WN) presents Zoom speaker Rosalie Gimeno, whose research and teaching have focused on Spain’s Golden Age. She will discuss Juan del Encino, the father of Spanish theater—one might say the Shakespeare of Spain. Rosalie will highlight his first eight plays, which reveal a social tapestry of the late 15th century. WN is a membership organization for older singles and couples, but is sharing speakers with the community during the epidemic. Call Joyce Wadlington at 781 283-0417 to register your email address and receive a Zoom link.
