Submit your event/s. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

October 17, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
What’s up with immigration legislation in the Commonwealth?
Phyllis Mays, who is active with two immigrant support groups, will share her perspective on Massachusetts immigration legislation at 10 a.m. in a presentation to the American Issues class of Wellesley-Weston Lifetime Learning. The talk will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 309 Washington Street in Wellesley Hills. Prospective new WWLL students are welcome as guests for two weeks.
As the point person for the Needham Area Immigration & Justice Task Force, Mays attends statehouse hearings on relevant legislation under consideration in the current session and lobbies lawmakers.
