Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

“Age Friendly, Age Healthy, Age with Dignity” presentation by Doug Peck of Seniors Helping Seniors

Our mission is to: To improve the dignity and quality of life of senior citizens in our community by finding ways for seniors to help each other.
Age Friendly – Social isolation is a very real health concern. Both our clients and our companions benefit from the relationships they develop with each other.
Age Healthy – Our companions find a renewed sense of purpose working with our clients. Reaffirming self-worth and feeling useful is a necessary part of healthy aging.
Age with Dignity – Our companions have a deep understanding of the issues facing our clients as they age as they are facing the same issues. They treat our clients with the same dignity and respect that they want for themselves.
We are a business with a mission to both help individuals and a social mission to help their communities. We are looking for individuals who have a desire to remain productive and useful and have a genuine interest in helping other seniors retain their independence. These are paid, part-time positions.
We would like to help your active seniors who are interested in part-time work, learn more about these opportunities by giving a short presentation on how they can age friendly, healthy and with dignity while helping other seniors and their community.
