Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Talking about Race with Children: Why It Matters and How to Start Doing It
October 17, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Talking to young children about racism, anti-racism and bias can be daunting, even for parents who have experience with these issues in other contexts. Feeling ill equipped to engage is common, but waiting until children are developmentally ready for adult discussions misses an important window, since the roots of racism and bias can start extremely early. Come learn about the impact on children and how to get started with teachable moments for children from preschool through middle school age. The event will be led by Meredith Moore from the group Kids for Racial Justice.
When: Monday, October 17 | 7 – 8:30pm
Where: Wellesley Middle School Cafeteria
Light refreshments to be provided. For more questions and information please contact info@worldofwellesley.org
