‘The Civil War Letters of George and Emily’ at Waterstone at Wellesley (Jan. 4)
Waterstone at Wellesley will welcome The Lydicks for their performance “The Civil War Letters of George and Emily” on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The Lydicks are a family of four historical actors who will bring to light the life of Col. George Hull Ward and his wife, Emily. These two lovers, who were residents of Worcester County, Mass., exchanged over 100 letters to one another during the Civil War. Their surviving letters are housed in the archives of the Worcester Historical Museum. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. It features independent and assisted living rental apartments.
