The Evolution of Wellesley with resident and author Catherine Simpson Bueker
Join Building a Better Wellesley on February 22 for a discussion with Catherine Barker. Catherine, a professor of sociology at Emmanuel College and resident of Wellesley, spent 4 1/2 years researching and understanding the impact of changing demographics on our community. She paints the picture of an evolving community, one that is far different than general perceptions. We are going to talk about how different groups moved to Wellesley and became part of the fabric of our community, and how the housing landscape played a role.
It is not necessary for you to have read the book to engage in this conversation. But, if you do want a copy, they are on sale at Wellesley Books.
