Submit your event/s. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

The Opportunities and Perils of Screen Technologies
May 3rd, 2018 at 7 pm
UU Wellesley, 309 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
Join us on May 3rd at 7 pm to discuss screens. Whether TV, computer or, in the past decade, smartphones and tablets, they have elicited dismay and enthusiasm in equal measure. The questions mount. Do screens offer more opportunities for sharing and creativity or do they increase isolation and present physical and psychological risks? Do they enhance learning or distract? What is their impact on family dynamics and community engagement (including religious community)? Join us to view Youtube presentations by experts, a case of technology enhancing our learning. Discussion follows. This program takes place during Screen Free Week. Sponsored by UU Wellesley, 309 Washington St. For more information: call 781-235-7423 or go to http://uuwellesley.org/adult- learning/.
