Touch-A-Truck event at Wellesley DPW
Visit the Wellesley Department of Public Works (30 Municipal Way) on Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to noon as part of Wellesley Wonderful Weekend.
A sensory hour is planned from 11:00 a.m. to noon. During the sensory hour there will be no lights, no music, and no horn honking. A
variety of equipment will be open for visitors to explore during the Touch-A-Truck event at DPW Headquarters (30 Municipal Way) including electric equipment, dump trucks, street sweepers, front loaders and more.
This is a rain or shine event. In case of severe weather, event will be moved into DPW garage bays.
Add to donation efforts this year. Donate business clothing to Suits for Success being given to Big Brother Big Sister. Bring a non-perishable food donation to Fill-A-Truck. All donated food will go to the Wellesley Food Pantry. Desired donations include: • Baked, Refried, White Beans, especially Chickpeas • Canned Fruit-In Fruit Juice, especially Pineapple • Canned Tomato Sauce • Beef, Lentil, Bean Soup • Broths-Unsalted, All Types in 32 oz. Cartons • Dinty Moore Beef Stew • Peanut Butter (16 oz. Jars), Crunchy & Creamy • Raisins • Coffee
