Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Wellesley Amateur Radio Society Field Day, opening day

Field Day is coming on June 27 & 28!
Every year, ham radio operators from all over the world take place in an emergency preparedness exercise to practice setting up ham radio stations in temporary locations, as would be necessary in emergency situations such as hurricanes or blackouts. Our club will take part in this, as we’ve done for decades. All are invited — this event is open to the public. If you are a ham, bring your license and you can take a turn operating W1TKZ. You don’t have to be a club member. Even if you are not a ham radio operator, you are welcome to get on the air with the help of one of our members.
Time: Saturday, June 27 from 2 pm to sometime after 8 pm; Sunday, June 28 from 9 am to 1 pm
Location: The gazebo at Needham Memorial Park, 92 Rosemary St, Needham, Mass.
