Wellesley Choral Society concert: Songs of Levity

The Wellesley Choral Society (WCS), under the direction of Edward Whalen, will present its second concert of the season on Saturday, January 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington Street, Wellesley. The theme of the concert is “Songs of Levity”. The music performed will be a mix of light classical, Broadway show tunes, and popular songs, ranging from Morley and Rutter to Joplin and Sondheim.
The event is in the style of a casual pops/cabaret performance. The audience is seated at tables and there will be complimentary food and drink, a silent auction, and a sing-along. The Wellesley Hills Congregational Church is handicapped accessible and there is ample free parking in the church lot and on the street. Tickets may be purchased at the door; general admission is $20, seniors and students $15, ages 12 and under free. Items acquired in the silent auction can be paid in cash or by check.
