Description: Exclusive Opening Reception celebrating the debut of A Time of Revolution at the Wellesley History & Exhibit Center. Enjoy an evening of bubbles and bites while experiencing the exhibition before it opens to the public. This special early access event offers guests the first opportunity to explore the galleries and celebrate the opening with fellow supporters.

A Time of Revolution explores the defining moments that shaped Wellesley and the people who called it home. Spanning more than 150 years of local history, the exhibition examines periods of profound political, social, and cultural change, from the American Revolution and the birth of the nation to the fight for women’s suffrage and the transformative spirit of the Roaring Twenties.

Through rare artifacts, historic documents, photographs, textiles, and personal stories, visitors will discover how national movements unfolded within the local community and how generations of Wellesley residents responded to an ever-changing world. As the nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, A Time of Revolution invites visitors to reflect on the many meanings of revolution and Wellesley’s role in the events that helped define America.
