DESCRIPTION: The Strategic Housing Plan was presented to the Select Board and Planning Board on June 3. The Plan is within the public comment period, and public input is needed.
The town’s consultant observed that local government has five resources/tools it can use for housing reform and that all five are recommended for Wellesley: regulatory reform, capital investment, budget resources, policy development, and leadership. The plan presents six housing goals reached through 48 possible strategies.
Which recommendations do you support? Which proposals do you feel are best suited to Wellesley. The meeting is an opportunity to ask questions and have your pro-housing comments added to Building a Better Wellesley’s official pubic comments submission. Links to the plan, presentation, and to the recording of the presentation, are included, below. A review of the materials before our meeting on Sunday would be helpful, but isn’t required for attendance!
