Winter Wednesdays for kids: Learn about America the Beautiful
January 9 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
On January 9, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., children ages 5-10 are invited to explore “America the Beautiful: A Patriotic Song with Roots in Wellesley” with staff from the Wellesley Historical Society, in partnership with the Wellesley Main Library. Join us for a craft that celebrates the song “America the Beautiful,” composed by Wellesley poet, Katharine Lee Bates. Create your own, “America the Beautiful,” with a mixed media collage.
The Wellesley Historical Society and the Wellesley Free Library are offering Winter Wednesday’s on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 through January 30, 2019. The program takes place in the children’s room of the Wellesley Main Library from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Drop in anytime; there is no need to register and no admission fee. For a full schedule of Winter Wednesday’s programs, visit www.
