The five-person, Municipal Light Board oversees the Wellesley Municipal Light Plant. The board consists of the three elected Board of Public Works Commissioners and two members appointed by the Select Board.

Serve on the Municipal Light Plant Board

June 23, 2026–The Select Board is looking for residents who want to serve on the Wellesley Municipal Light Board (WMLB).

As of July 1, there will be a vacant seat on the Board. Interested candidates must be Wellesley residents and should apply by Friday, July 17, 2026.

Applicants should email a letter of interest detailing their qualifications, and a current resume, to the Select Board at sel@wellesleyma.gov
