Where to play tennis and pickleball in Wellesley (and beyond)

This page was updated Oct. 2025.

Wellesley, Mass., has a variety of indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball facilities, some town-operated, some privately operated.

Hunnewell Field tennis and pickleball courts

Wellesley DPW during the summer of 2025 has been busy resurface the Hunnewell tennis and pickleball courts, which are located along Washington Street in the Hunnewell Field area.

Courts 7 and 8 (nearest Whole Foods) will be reserved for pickleball during the high school tennis off-season (i.e., times other than spring). The hitting wall surface will also be converted into a pickleball court. This plan was confirmed during 2025 Annual Town Meeting.

Lights out til spring 2026

Lights at night from May-August for those who buy tags via the town’s recreation department. Free reservations can be made for daytime play.

Hours: 8am – 9:30pm
