Wellesley Business Buzz: Glow Golf gone; Fastachi opens; Wellesley Herald?

Here’s a roundup of the latest Wellesley business news:

Glow Golf, no golf

Glow Golf, the colorful  indoor miniature golf business that opened in Linden Square during the summer of 2014, has gone dark. This leaves a gap between Unleashed by Petco and Jos. A. Bank.

Liz Ryan, Director of Leasing, had this to say regarding the former Glow Golf space: “We are currently in negotiations with a tenant we believe will further activate the south side of Linden Square as well as strengthen the center as a whole. While it is still early in the process, we are very excited and will keep the community updated as soon as we can share more information.”

Property owner Federal Realty has been promising big changes to Linden Square, including more restaurants.

Coming soon: The Wellesley Herald?

Wellesley Townsman owner Gatehouse Media has agreed to buy out the Boston Herald, which has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to enable the deal. Hey don’t blame me, I haven’t worked at the Herald in ages, back when Rupert Murdoch owned it. But I do look forward to the Townsman giving a tabloid newspaper format a whirl.

Fastachi opens in Church Square

Roasted and chocolate-covered nut emporium Fastachi has opened its doors on Church Street in time for the holiday shopping season.
