How sculptures stay cozy in Wellesley

The Wellesley Free Library last month hosted a Yarn Bomb Maker Night and the next thing you know, the figures in Nancy Schön’s “Reach for Knowledge” sculpture are suddenly looking pretty well dressed for the winter cold.

Expect to see more yarn artistry when a public display from ArtWellesley launches in May on Linden Street.

But before that, there’s another Yarn Bomb Maker Night scheduled at the library, on Dec. 12.

Wellesley knitters
We’re not saying these innocent-looking Yarn Bomb makers on the second floor of the library had anything to do with the knit-bombed sculpture just outside the library’s rear entrance. Probably just a coincidence.

We’re pretty good at spinning yarns. Please support your local news source, The Swellesley Report.
