Old Lady Basketball continues Final Four tradition
USA Today this week profiled a group of women, most of them Natick or Wellesley residents, who have been playing pick-up basketball together for the past 20 years and have been traveling to the NCAA women’s Final Fours as a group for the past 10 years. I’ve seen these women play, and they’ve still got it years after many participating in high school or college sports.

Versatile Wellesley High alum Stakun-Pickering wins college decathlon
Max Stakun-Pickering, a Wellesley High School track & field alum, has continued on with his athletic exploits as a University of North Carolina student. This past month he topped the decathlon field at the big Texas Relays meet. He set personal bests throughout the first day of the event, and won the whole thing despite a tight second day of competition.
Celtics honor We Rock The Spectrum owners
Congrats to the owners of Wellesley’s We Rock the Spectrum gym, sisters Melissa Defay and Sherley Brice, for being recognized as Heroes Among Us at a recent Boston Celtics game during Autism Acceptance Month.
