Addison Groove Project (Wellesley High alum) concert

March 28 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Funk-fusion band Addison Groove Project, which formed out of Wellesley High School in the late 90s, is back in the area for a concert at The Sinclair in Cambridge on March 28 at 8pm.

According to a promotional pitch for the band, we learn that of where band members have wound up since their early touring days. Saxophonist Dave Adams is the band director at Wellesley Middle School. Keyboardist Rob Marscher went on to play professionally with acts like Matisyahu, and guitarist/ lead singer, Brendan McGinn is now a spinal surgeon. Tenor sax player Ben Groppe is a chef in Maine, and drummer Andrew Keith is a therapist.

Bassist John Hall died in 2004. Adams’s teen daughter now plays bass.

In honor of Hall, proceeds from the show will go toward Dana Farber’s Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Center.
