Wellesley College Notable Alumnae

Wellesley College has loads of famous alums, and like most institutions of higher education, they remind us all about them as frequently as possible.

*Madeleine Korbel Albright, Class of 1959: Served as 64th Secretary of the United States in 1997, making her the highest ranking woman in US government history at the time. She’s a regular visitor to the college, often for events within the Albright Institute for Global Affairs at the school.

*Hillary Rodham Clinton, Class of 1969: Served as head of the Young Republicans Club at Wellesley College in the 1960s and went on to work as a lawyer early in her career. She served as the first lady of Arkansas to Gov. Bill Clinton and first lady of the United States to President Clinton. She served as Secretary of State in the Obama administration, and bid twice to become president herself.
