While in the Linden Square parking lot this week I witnessed a suit—well, a man in dress clothes without an actual jacket—walking through the front door of the promised Karma Asian Fusion Cuisine restaurant next to the Verizon store.
That prompted me to press my face against the front window, and indeed, it looks like a restaurant in there. The exterior has looked ready for business for a while, with a sign going up earlier this year following a town approval.
And that prompted me to reach out to my contact at Karma, who wrote: “We are planning on opening by the end of July. We are currently hiring for all front of house positions.” Plans are to have reservations available for scheduling on the Resy system about a week before the restaurant opens.
The Wellesley Health Department said this week that a pre-opening inspection needs to be done before the restaurant begins serving customers, and that permits from other departments still need approval.
Karma, which has several restaurants in Massachusetts, has been looking to open in Linden Square since late 2022. may really be getting closer. A new sign has been affixed to the front of the building.
