Wellesley’s Karma Asian Fusion Cuisine restaurant is on the verge of opening at 165 Linden St., so we popped by on Thursday to get a sneak peek at its stylish and warm interior, complete with golds, browns, and deep red finishes.
The Linden Square restaurant (near Verizon store and Dryft restaurant) features a mix of booth seating, straight chairs, plus line-ups of stools along a bar and sushi bar. A private room offers additional seating for groups.
Karma describes its offerings as “Upscale Asian Cuisine, including Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian curries, and fresh Sushi & Sashimi. Our Fusion Sushi blends Japanese flavors with French-inspired sauces.”
Karma also has restaurants in Andover, Burlington, Concord, Westford, and Winchester (we visited the Burlington one a few years back).
The Wellesley restaurant is now listed on the Resy site, so online reservations will soon be available. We’ve been told by a Karma official that regular service should be available for Monday, Aug. 18.
The restaurant has been looking to open in town since late 2022.

went last night to Karma, still getting into their swing a little, but fabulous food, family style serving and great vibe, with upbeat loud music. also very opulent indeed as you see from the pics. we’re so lucky to have such great restaurants in wellesely. Also i’ve been to the Burlington one and the decor and layout here i think surpasses that.
Melanie, Thanks for the report from the field
Thats the beauty of it you can choose not to go. No one is forcing you.
Eh, I’m really not sure what to expect from owners who slow rolled this opening for years.
What does the menu look like & prices
Wellesley menu isn’t online yet, but here’s the Burlington one (hopefully no Wellesley tax…): https://burlington.karmaasianfusion.com/_files/ugd/27eac3_0af43f2d2f374d7eaad52009908caa26.pdf
