Congrats to Wellesley resident Donald Kufe, winner of this year’s Brian P. O’Dell Memorial Research Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Massachusetts Chapter.
Dr. Kufe is a Distinguished Physician at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Leader of the Translational Pharmacology and Early Therapeutics Trials Program at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. He has worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on the molecular biology of human cancer and the development of anti-cancer agents for over 30 years. Dr. Kufe has over 500 publications and is an editor of the widely recognized textbook, Cancer Medicine. He holds numerous patents related to anti-cancer treatment and is an advisor to multiple pharmaceutical companies.
