Congratulations to the Wellesley Police Department’s Scott Whittemore, who earlier this month was promoted by the Board of Selectmen from lieutenant to deputy police chief.
Deputy Chief Whittemore had his badge pinned to his uniform for the first time by his father, Wellesley resident Nat Whittemore.
Whittemore is the fifth person to hold the rank since its inception in the early 1990’s. He is a 21-year veteran of the department, having joined shortly after graduation from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Shout out also to his very proud father, Nat Whittemore, who was in our WHS Class of 1956!!
