A hearty crowd braved sub-freezing temperatures and gathered round the Linden Square Courtyard last Sunday for the Menorah Lighting, led by Rabbi Moshe Bleich from Wellesley-Weston Chabad and Rabbi Rachel Saphire from Temple Beth Elohim. Select Board chair Colette Aufranc and several families assisted in the candle lighting. Hand warmers, hot cocoa, and coffee kept everyone in great spirits!
Jewish people around the world celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, starts at nightfall on December 25, 2024, and ends with nightfall on January 2, 2025, lasting for eight days.
