Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is set to open its Linden Square shop in Wellesley on Thursday, April 3. It’ll be offering $1 scoops from 3-5pm, plus totes to the first 100 customers starting at 3pm.
The shop will be open from 11am-11pm.
Van Leeuwen got its start in 2008 in a yellow truck on the streets of New York, and now has shops around the country, including locally in Chestnut Hill, the Seaport, and Harvard Square. More local shops are planned for the Fenway and Back Bay areas.
Buttermilk berry cornbread, marionberry cheesecake, and honeycomb are just some of the many flavors listed on their website.
Van Leeuwen’s arrival bolsters Wellesley’s ice cream scene, which already stars Truly’s and J.P. Licks.
