WCVB-TV’s “Chronicle” news magazine show will return to Wellesley on June 17 and 19 to visit Popovers at Church Square, the breakfast and lunch spot that opened last summer at 16 Church St. The restaurant boasts a unique menu that features popovers and popover sandwiches, among other items.

The arrival of Popovers stirred memories of a past favorite Wellesley restaurant called Popovers, and “Chronicle” is hoping to talk to locals who have memories of that dining spot. A reporter from “Chronicle” is slated to be at the shop on Thursday, June 19 at 11am. (A video crew will be by on Tuesday, June 17, at 11am.
“So many people have come into our cafe since we opened, telling us interesting little anecdotes about the original store,” says Carl Parisien, who runs the restaurant with his wife, Morgan Schaffrath.
This marks a return to Wellesley for “Chronicle,” which recently profiled Le Petit Four bakery.
