The Wellesley High School boys’ tennis team launched its 2025 season with a perfect 5-0 victory over Milton High on the Hunnewell tennis courts on April 1. Among the victors: Birthday boy Arthas Goutham, playing No. 1 singles for the Raiders.
Coach Mike Sabin and JV coach Katie Sullivan were happy with the team’s performance, which should be a good tune-up for non-league action vs. Boston College High School later this week.
Sabin said the team, despite losing a handful of seniors from last year’s 15-7 unit, has looked good during training and he expects the Raiders to compete well.
