Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.

U.S. Rep. Auchincloss to speak at League of Women Voters of Wellesley online event
April 28 @ 7:51 pm - 8:15 pm

Jake Auchincloss, U.S. Representative from the 4th Congressional District, will speak at an online Town Hall Meeting on Monday, April 28 at 7:15pm. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Wellesley.
Rep. Auchincloss has asked to hear from voters about what concerns them most, about what he and his colleagues in Washington, D.C..
can do to improve the lives of voters in Wellesley (Wellesley’s borders straddle the 4th and 5th Congressional Districts).
This event will also be an opportunity to discuss how recent executive orders might impact Wellesley and the region. Email lwvwellesley2@gmail.com for the Zoom link or call 781-591-2033 for more information.
The League points to an executive order requiring in-person voter registration. According to the order, “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections,” issued on March 25, registration by mail or at voter registration events such as those held by the League of Women Voters, will no longer be allowed. It is also not clear what the implications of keeping copies of required registration documents like passports, birth
certificates, and naturalization papers will be for staffing and filing space at clerk’s offices, since it is not clear whether maintaining electronic copies will be sufficient for compliance, according to the League.
The League of Women Voters of Wellesley will be cosponsoring this event with the six other local Leagues that serve the thirty five towns in the 4th US Congressional District. Among the surrounding towns in District 4 are Newton, Needham, Brookline, Dover, Sherborn, and
Sharon.
