The Wellesley Trails Committee (of which I’m a member) does its best to mark trails across town with colored arrows to help you find your way around. But now, thanks to the town’s GIS department, there’s a new techie tool to help you navigate the trail system, which includes 43 miles overall and 26 marked miles.
This web-based interactive trails map isn’t perfect, but you might find it fun to play with (assuming you can get cellphone service while on the trails. It’s possible the town will go ahead and build its own app down the road to improve location accuracy.
So give the interactive map a whirl and let the Trails Committee know how it goes at trails@wellesleyma.gov. One tip, if you’ve got an iPhone, use the Safari web browser for this (find map instructions here).
