Weather Outlook: July 17 to July 25
After one final burst of heat and humidity on Thursday, a cold front ushers in a more comfortable and seasonable pattern. Friday and Saturday look beautiful with sunshine, drier air, and lower dew points. A brief uptick in humidity returns Sunday with clouds and the chance for scattered showers. Early next week features pleasant summer weather with sunshine and average July temperatures. By mid to late week, warmth and humidity slowly build again, with a few chances for afternoon storms as another front approaches.
Thursday, July 17 – Still hot, storm chance late
The heat and humidity continue for one more day, with highs near 90°F and heat index values pushing the mid-90s. While the morning stays dry and hazy, a cold front approaches by late afternoon, bringing the potential for scattered thunderstorms, some possibly strong, especially west of I-95.
• High: 88 to 90°F | Low: 74 to 76°F | Wind: SW at 6 to 9 mph
• Sky: Partly sunny early, turning mostly cloudy with p.m. storms possible
• Chance of rain: 40%
• Dew point: 70 to 74°F (oppressive)
Friday, July 18 – Drier air, still seasonably warm
Behind the front, W/NW winds usher in slightly less humid air. Skies brighten under mostly sunny conditions, and the oppressive feel backs off a bit. A solid summer day overall.
• High: 83 to 85°F | Low: 62 to 64°F | Wind: NW at 7 to 9 mph
• Sky: Mostly sunny
• Chance of rain: 5%
• Dew point: 60 to 64°F
Saturday, July 19 – Classic mid-July weather
Plenty of sunshine with a comfortably warm and dry air mass overhead. Light winds and seasonal temps make this a fantastic summer day for any outdoor plans.
• High: 82 to 84°F | Low: 64 to 66°F | Wind: SE at 4 to 6 mph
• Sky: Mostly sunny
• Chance of rain: 5%
• Dew point: 60 to 64°F
Sunday, July 20 – Increasing clouds, a few showers
Humidity nudges upward again as southwest winds return. A weak frontal boundary may drift north, bringing more clouds and the chance for a few showers or a rumble of thunder.
• High: 80 to 82°F | Low: 64 to 66°F | Wind: SW at 5 to 7 mph
• Sky: Mostly cloudy with spotty showers
• Chance of rain: 40%
• Dew point: 64 to 68°F
Monday, July 21 – Pleasant and dry
Drier air settles in again as the front moves offshore. Skies clear and temps stay seasonable, with low humidity and a refreshing breeze.

• Chance of rain: 5%

Tuesday, July 22 – Seasonable summer weather
Another beautiful summer day with light winds, sunshine, and mild temps. Humidity remains in check, making it feel quite comfortable.

• Sky: Mostly sunny
• Chance of rain: 5%
• Dew point: 58 to 62°F
Wednesday, July 23 – Slight uptick in humidity
Temperatures hold steady, but dew points begin to rise slightly. Still dry and bright overall, but a few clouds may develop by afternoon.
