I’m one of those people cursed by being able to only remember a few jokes, and they’re all bad and old. One bad taste sample from my childhood: “What ever became of Arthur Fiedler? Answer: “He’s de-composing” (though now that I think about it, not sure he actually was a composer…he was a legendary Boston Pops conductor).
Anyway, that’s all to provide a smooth segue to the fact that the annual Composers Conference (Chamber Music Center and Singers Workshop) hunkers down at Wellesley College starting on Sunday July 18 and running through Aug. 1. Lots of free concerts and lectures.
