Justine’s Grill, the Route 9 East restaurant that for months has been attempting to secure a liquor license, has now gone dark as a result of its building being auctioned off to a new owner.
A spokeswoman for the restaurant, which changed its name earlier this year from Justine’s Table, said “The building is under new ownership and Justine’s Grill could not come to a satisfactory agreement on a new lease with the landlord. A new location has yet to be determined at this time.”
For those holding gift certificates, the restaurant says to hold onto them and that they can be used assuming the business does find a new location and re-opens.
Justine’s had been scheduled to petition for an alcohol license at the Oct. 28 Board of Selectmen’s meeting, but that agenda item was pushed off to a time to be determined in light of the building auction.
