Family, friends, and the broader Wellesley community are mourning Beatrice Trotman-Dickenson, MD, know to many around Wellesley as Beatrice Hermacinski, who passed away on Dec. 3, after a short illness. Beatrice, one of the most productive and loving moms I’ve had the privilege of knowing, was a radiologist at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
Formerly of London, her lovely accent lent a touch of class to things as mundane as a PTO meeting about school lunches, while the mischief in her eye let you know that the class parents’ party she opened up her historic Wellesley home for was most definitely going to be a good time. Beatrice brought a sense of purpose and a can-do spirit to everything she set her hand to, and she will be missed immensely by all whose lives she touched.
Beatrice is survived by her husband Leo J. Hermacinski, son Max, and daughters Alexandra, and Anna, all of Wellesley. Click here for an online obituary.
Family, friends, co-workers, and her students will gather to remember Beatrice at a funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, 502 Washington St., Wellesley, Monday, Dec. 7 at 10 am. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Beatrice’s memory to Horizons for Homeless Children, 1705 Columbus Ave., Boston, MA 02119
We extend our condolences to her family.
