The Town of Wellesley depends on its elected volunteer board members and Town Meeting Members to effectively govern our town. Boards/Committees set policy and manage their respective departments. Town Meeting is our legislative body that appropriates all funds to departments for operating and capital projects and enacts bylaw amendments, including zoning bylaws, and certain other matters that require town meeting authorization.
There are many important decisions facing our town and resident participation is important to our continued vitality as a community.
I encourage all residents to consider running for elected office in Wellesley.
For additional information on elected office please contact the relevant board or the Town Clerk.
