Karl “Chip” Case, the Wellesley College Professor of Economics Emeritus best known for his observations on the real estate and housing markets, has recently been diagnosed with a form of cancer called multiple myeloma — on top of existing Parkinson’s Disease.
Friends have set up a website to help people stay updated on the longtime Wellesley resident’s condition and to share their thoughts, as dozens and dozens have done. Among them, Bob Shiller, who collaborated with Case in creating the renowned Case-Shiller Index of Real Estate Prices (we once referred to Case as “the most quoted man in Wellesley” given that he has long been the go-to guy for reporters seeking commentary on the latest real estate trends).
We’d like to add our wishes for a solid recovery as well.
