Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

‘scuse me, while I paint the sky—watercolor workshop
August 8 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Watercolor workshop
Painting the sky is a wonderful and effective way to learn to paint in watercolor. It is easy to create the multitude of colors and cloud forms in the sky, and even add a landscape if we so choose. The fluidity of cloud forms lends itself beautifully to the watery medium of watercolor, and to learning the importance and use of edges in creating form, the placement of shadows, the value of color, and positive and negative shapes. From dawn to dusk the sky dome illuminates our world in a multitude of hues and weather patterns we often take for granted. Let’s discover what they are in awe and in paint.
