The Hillside Road/Washington Street project is on again, with developer Michael Connolly getting the town’s blessing to recommence work, according to a Boston Globe report. Connolly’s project had been put on hold when the town cited him for building code violations.
Meanwhile, just to prove that no development in town can take place without some drama, the CVS-in-progress on Rte. 9 in Wellesley has been the scene of a protest against an outfit called Keystone by men holding placards complaining of failure to adhere to community standards (thanks to reader CH for mentioning).
I think the protestors are for Behrend’s new building, on the old Wellesley No-Tell Motel site. Presumably he used non-union labor or somesuch.
CVS is looking to set up on the former Kehoe Chrysler lot, just west between Behrend’s & the Natick town line.
