The Wellesley Natural Resources Commission continues its Environmental Film Series on June 9 from 1-3pm at Wellesley Free Library, when it will present “Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?” In this short documentary, “everyman” Jeb Berrier embarks on a mission to unravel the complexities of our overly-plasticized world. What starts as a film about plastic bags evolves into an investigation into plastic and its effects on our wildlife, our waterways and our personal health.
The film will be followed by a discussion led by State House Representative Alice Peisch of Wellesley, about the current bill being considered at the State House that would phase out plastic bags in the Commonwealth. An update on the Bottle Bill will also be presented.
The event is free and open to the public.
