Wellesley’s Carol Chaoui got into the ring with other cancer survivors at the WWE Raw pro wrestling event at Boston Garden on Monday night to help raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. The wrestling outfit has contributed millions to the cause via its Rise Above Cancer campaign, in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen organization.
Chaoui, who was joined by one of her sons, says the experience was amazing: “Definite Outta Swellesley experience. Have not seen so many hairstyles straight out of the 1970s in ages. The place was packed with all sorts of characters… I told [wrestler] Roman Reigns [seen in video on the far left, next to Chaoui] that I would wear my pink luchadora mask next year for the smackdown. He asked me not to hurt him!”
