Give a hoot
Eyes on Owls returns to the Wellesley Free Library with two shows on Wednesday, December 28. Families with children of all ages can attend either the 5pm -6pm or the 7pm – 8pm show. Please sign up for only one show or wait list. Since space is limited, both adults and children should reserve seats for these performances. Sign up here starting on December 21.
Everyone loves owls! Yet, how often do you get to see an owl up close? Join teacher/naturalist Marcia Wilson and author/photographer/naturalist Mark Wilson in sharing their passion for owls in Owls of the World – Who’s Watching You? You will be introduced to the owls of New England and beyond. Mark and Marcia share the field marks, signs and naturalist’s skills that you can use to find wild owls without disturbing them. You will also meet six live owls (from small to huge) up close. Everyone participates in a hooting lesson and learns tips on how to attract and protect owls near you.
A reminder: The Wellesley Free Library will close at 1pm on Saturday, December 24 and re-open on Tuesday, December 27.

Keep the kids moving
If you’re looking for a drop-off program, Terriers December Vacation Sports Camp has you covered.
Each day will begin with an open gym, with supervised but self-structured fun and activity. Kids will shoot hoops, play knockout, pickup basketball, wall ball, practice skills, or just relax and have fun with friends. Basketball games will also be played each day – “Terriers style” with action, energy and a focus on fun and sportsmanship. Sessions will also offer our popular Dodgeball games. Kids love the fast paced action, throwing, catching and, of course dodging balls in this great game. Our playground and sledding hill will also be available for outdoor fun. Participants bring their own lunch. Location: Warren Building. Check the Rec. website for more information or call them at781-235-2370.
