Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Listening to Lost Time: A book talk with author and critic Jeremy Eichler
February 6 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
![Boston Globe music critic Jeremy Eichler](https://media.theswellesleyreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/22123512/Boston-Globe-music-critic-Jeremy-Eichler.jpg)
Boston Globe music critic Jeremy Eichler will share excerpts and insights from his new book Time’s Echo. The book traces the haunted paths of four composers – Schoenberg, Strauss, Shostakovich, and Britten – through the years of the Second World War and the Holocaust, and tells the stories of the extraordinary musical memorials they created. It’s a book about how culture bears witness to history – and about reimagining the power and presence of art in our lives today.
This event is free and open to the public, and will be held at Wellesley College’s Music Salon at PNW 101. Registration is recommended as space will be limited (please use this link to register). Co-sponsored by the Jewish Studies Department, the English Department, and CLCE.
